What does the NEC say about silicone on an exterior panel box to keep the rain from getting in the walls?
I am using an exterior box, but where the wires come through the wall into the panel in theory the water could get into the wall. Is there a problem with silicone on the top and the sides of the ext. panel?
Would be fine and to code on outside of box.

The code requires you to use a weatherproof box, rather then an indoor box sealed with caulk.
