I have an NEC MultiSync LCD 2010 XtraView flat screen monitor. I need to find a free download for a driver. I'm running XP home.

I have a NEC Mobilepro 900 laptop that is running CE.

I am having major problems finding drivers for network cards, both USB and also PCMCIA, as well as general programs. Every time I download a program onto my flash disk, it comes up with a error, saying 'This is not a Windows CE program', even though I downloaded it from a site with programs for CE.

I'm also not able to find much info on CE. It looks like 95 or 98, however, I've read that it is mainly used on PDA phones.

Wiki said it is Compact Edition, however it doesn't say a compact edition of what.

Is there a compact edition of Windows XP I could substitute this program with?

Can anyone offer any tips?

My partner and I have decided to add a puppy to our family (two daughters aged 3yrs and 15 months)

We did lots of research and decided to get a smallish dog (not nec. a puppy) like a King Charles or Pug. We also joined an animal shelter as we ideally wanted to rehome and were not in any rush to get a dog, we just wanted to make sure we got the right one.

This is where the issue lies - I phoned the shelter, they told me they had a 3-4 month old puppy that would grow into a small dog and was very gentle with children - this seems to be a rare find at a shelter. We went to see her w/out the children and we fell in love, she is gorgeous and has the most amazing temperament, they said she would be a smallish dog. We went back again the next day w/out the kids again and were told that she will be a medium dog as she is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross.

Before we take the kids to meet her please can you offer me some advice on Staffies with toddlers and whether this is a good idea?

I have done lots of research into dogs with children so know the basics. I have also researched the breed (although I had not come across some of the links you have posted below which are great) however I appreciate that there is also going to be a degree of the "unknown" regarding the dog's inherited characteristics and size with her being a cross-breed.

I wonder in addition to this whether any of you who have/had young children could tell me what I would be letting myself in for. Some real experiences would be invaluable as reading about it and actually doing it are going to be two wholly different things and I want to be as prepared as possible!

So I work with this guy who has the weirdest smell to him. It's not nec B.O. or anything it's just a really foul stench. The worst part is that he leaves the scent even after he goes. Its on all the phones he uses the computers...everything. All our co-workers notice it and try to make general statments like "Man, this phone smells so bad...Has anyone else noticed?" But nothing. Its like a greasy smelly film on everything he touches and he REAKS from across the room.

Everyday after he leaves we have to soak everything in disinfectant and sometimes the smell is still there.

Any answers to what it is or how to let him know he friggen smells?

My company is looking at a voip system, particularly the NEC aspire system. I understand what that means inside the building. How do calls route outside the building? Do we still need the 14 analog phone lines we have now? Most of our customers have normal phones. What happens when we call them? Do they go thru a provider or our phone company?
This system is a NEC Aspire system. The vendor said because we have a regular phone infrastructure in place, we would use the 1 paired wire and non-ip phones for now although the phones
could be turned into IP phones with a add-on. We would still have all the
features the phone system has but wouldnt have to worry about our local
network traffice for now. They mentioned a prime line to replace our phone lines. Our vendor said that we could just buy some IP phones for our other locations, plug them in, and make free calls to them. I dont know if that would go thru the
prime line or our internet connection. I told him that our current internet
connection is likely not good for VOIP and he said we could throw in a cable
modem with a minimum connection for these calls to our other locations. I
am not sure how that would all work though. So it sounded like we would
have 2 connections to the net but i dont know how our internal network would be affected by that.

I colleted Following information from webs , I have not tryed these... , but I think it will be usefull...

Unlocking NEC C313 & C616, E808 etc100% work

1st Method:
1)Insert any 2G simcard when mobile set is off and then turn-on the phone
2) #4960*xxxxxxxx# Send
3)*4960*xxxxxxxx*xxxxxxxx# Send
4) Turn-off the phone and turn-on again!

Remember 5 points,
1) Note: "xxxxxxxx" is any number (8 digits code).
2) This unlock method ONLY works with one type of (2G)simcard. If you change another (2G)simcard, you have to unlock again!
3) If you use again the 3G sim card, you have to input only the (8 Digit) xxxxxxxx code.
4) The unlock code is depended on the phone firmware version. There are 2 version of unlocking methods.
For some version, don't press "send" but just the code all the way.
5) I think that the NEC *** mobile set which has SP Lock On will not be unlocked.

2nd Method:
Just put any other simcard and press cancel then enter any 8 digits(may be 00000000,12345678 etc).Phone will say usim lock is off.
To change into 2 gsm mode ,dial 112 from phone so it says" changing from 3g to 2g/gprs mode"
then after few seconds press cancel button and phone will remain in 2g mode and display 2.5 icon on phone.
(its only temporary but works ok)

3rd Mehtod:
i think it opens with #7320*xxxxxxxx# but xxxxxxxx=?

4th Method:
Power off phone and insert a 2G sim
Power on phone
It will say insert USIM OR USIM error- just press the emergency button
don't enter anything just wait about 3 seconds and it will ask for unlock code
enter 12345678 then press ok
dial 112 (emergency number) it will ask to swap networks (Exchange Networks) say YES
as soon as it swaps, hangup otherwise you'll be onto emergency services
wait about 15 seconds and your phone is partially unlocked

5th Method
1)577349765++ hold 2 (for 5 secs) and 393++
phone will switch off and back on/ phone is unlocked

provider other than the one you (currently using or unlcok for) originally purchased it for.

remember to take your usim out of the phone and switch it back on and when it says emergency number only then enter

I just got a NEC Multisynch 1970NX monitor and can only get it to go up to 1280x1024. That's the highest resolution I see this monitor advertised as being able to do, but my father has the exact same monitor and I was able to get the resolution up to 2048x(whatever). Is it just a matter of video drivers or what? I have an ATI Radeon 9800 128mb videocard.

I am trying to send a picture from my phone onto my laptop via infared, but every time i try and send it, it just says "sending failed". The laptop has a little icon telling me it can detect the phone, so i know the connection is allright, but it still fails every time i try and send it. I dont think it matters, but the phone is a nokia 6101 and the laptop a NEC versa. Any ideas?

I have bought a Acer lcd monitor today and having the problem with some images. They are not displaying good. images have more white color instead of actual colors. It seems like editing your digital camera images and make it bright...some part is more bright and some part is normal.
That's how the images of the webpages are appearing now. I tried to do all kind of settings but no improvment. But my 6 years old Nec crt monitor displays good.
I am running window 2000 and I have changed my video card last month- e-Ge-Force FX 5200 with tv out.
I have no idea what is going on...
I forgot to say one thing... before I bought this Acer Lcd , I bought LG lcd monitor .. it gave the same problem and looks small so I returned it and bought this Acer Lcd.

Is there a cellphone signal relay or signal booster product that my company can purchase and place on the roof of the building to caputure a weak cellphone signal and allow us to have cellphone receiption in the building? The company owns a NEC IPK PBX, could that be used in any manner to distribute cell phone calls in the building?

i just bought the monitor yesterday, i found a dead pixel and phoned up NEC and they told me they cant replace that as a faulty bcos its only one dead pixel...so i phoned up the store i bought it from and they said they only cover for 5 or more dead pixels.
