I bought an NEC Versa E6200 laptop about 6 months ago. But a few months ago, something went wrong. Everytime I turn the laptop on, it will always display 640x480 resolution with 8-bit color quality. It happened just like that. The laptop is still functioning normally, only the screen would change back to 640x480 resolution. So I need to change it ack to my preferred resolution everytime.

Anybdy has any idea what happen to my laptop? Thanks a lot

I have a NEC Mobilepro 900 laptop that is running CE.

I am having major problems finding drivers for network cards, both USB and also PCMCIA, as well as general programs. Every time I download a program onto my flash disk, it comes up with a error, saying 'This is not a Windows CE program', even though I downloaded it from a site with programs for CE.

I'm also not able to find much info on CE. It looks like 95 or 98, however, I've read that it is mainly used on PDA phones.

Wiki said it is Compact Edition, however it doesn't say a compact edition of what.

Is there a compact edition of Windows XP I could substitute this program with?

Can anyone offer any tips?

If I leave my laptop for awhile it goes into standby mode although I haven't set it up in the Control Panel as such. Because I can't get the display to light up I end rebooting (which I know is a no-no but I have no choice). You can actually see the screen/ opened application i.e. Word/Excel/Powerpoint beyond the dark screen but I just can't get the display to light up. Anyone have any ideas? Would be much appreciated.

i have a nec versa 2400 laptop and i need to activate hard drive access through bios and i don't know what the password is.

I am trying to send a picture from my phone onto my laptop via infared, but every time i try and send it, it just says "sending failed". The laptop has a little icon telling me it can detect the phone, so i know the connection is allright, but it still fails every time i try and send it. I dont think it matters, but the phone is a nokia 6101 and the laptop a NEC versa. Any ideas?

I can't use bluetooth to connect with my cell phone... please tell me how to use bluetooth in my laptop. It's NEC VERSA E6200.

I tried DSL, and it ran pretty well, but I'm having trouble getting it to run smoothly. I currently have XP on it, but XP is a little more than a nec versa fxi laptop can handle.
