The Broom, are you saying that if I just take the DVD - R disks back to the store and exchange them for DVD + R, it should work?
Rajinder, I do not understand your answer at all.
Siddanth, when I put the DVD-R disk in my tray, my pc did not react at all and Musicmatch seems to think the dvd is a cd with only 78 minutes capacity!!

My pc froze while I was playing MW2 so I manually restarted, after that nothing was coming on the display although pc reboots..tried few times and changed the graphic port to the onboard graphics card and it works. Checking I found that Nvidia control panel was gone, so was the drivers. Device Manager shows that I'm using intel onboard display driver, the Nvidia card is not even displayed.

I have uninstalled and tried to install the drivers hoping Windows will detect the card, but nothing is working.

When I try to install the new Nvidia drivers (version 195.62) from the website I get an error message saying "Nvidia setup could not detect any drivers suitable for your installed hardware. Setup will quit now".

How do I get windows to detect my Nvidia 8600

Here are my specs: NEC Powermate X9360/ Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (2.83Ghz.12m.1333FSB) / 4GB DDR2 RAM / 320 Sata HD x3

Running Windows Vista Ultimate x64

The graphic card in error is - Nvidia GeForce 8600GT 512MB Turbo cache DVI/S-Video TV out.

ANy help will be really appreciated. Thanks
This is the actual error message I get when i try to install Nvidia drivers

Sometimes when I turn my computer on, and the "Welcome" screen comes on, I see a lot of "snow" and I see a blurred cursor that is shimmering. After a few seconds, this problem goes away and the screen is quite clear.

I need to format my hard drive because of corrupted files, but first I need to back up my files and save my music onto cds or dvds. The problem is that when I ask Sonic or Musicmatch to burn my music onto cds, I get messages saying that no cd/dvd drive can be detected. I rebooted and tried again with same frustrating results. HELP!

I have a NEC with an intergrated intel extreme graphics 2 with a Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller can it support dual monitor display like a extended desktop whereby you can drag some stuff to the other monitor. Working on 2 monitors but really on one big work area.
