How do I “unlock” the AV channels on a NEC TV with a Logitech Universal Remote?
This is the scenario:
My uncle has an NEC TV (not a LCD or plasma) and a few months ago, his dog ate the remote control to it. As a result, the remote was destroyed and when he clicked to the AV channels, the said "lock".
He now has a new Logitech Universal remote but the AV channels are still locked.
And this story is true!
Ok, this is how I do it….
Get online, find NEC’s Customer Help number.
There you go…the ball starts rolling towards you getting it unlocked…but don’t believe the FIRST level…go to the 2nd level and INSIST on them.
If there’s a magic code for NEC’s Parental LOCK….they’ll have it and will help.
