Having problems with an NEC 61MP1 and I’m trying to get a parts breakdown sheet for it. Any suggestions?
The power indicator light that is solid green when the unit is on and functioning properly is now alternating between red and green and the screen is blank. I've been told that this could be the temp sensor, cooling fans, power supply or plasma display failing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
If it is blinking and it is a plasma or LCD tv, it is probably an internal power supply component. Sadly it isn’t something you can service or buy parts for. You have to call out a tech who has access to the parts thru their certified repair center agreement with the manufacturer. It is a bunch a crap, but it is what it is. With plasma and LCD TV’s power sensitivity, you have to have a very high end power filter in place. If not, you better have a very good extended warranty. I had a Panasonic plasma fail on me after 4 days.

turn the power switch on while holding the input selector button for 2 seconds screen should come on.
