Yes, 3364/3354. Electrician supervisor/ Electrician worker. Its a tough job. High demands on your time and integrity. Being responsible for just about everything electrical on the submarine can be frustrating, but it will teach you a lot. Nothing like fixing the ship’s ice cream machine one minute and then having to go repair temperature monitoring detectors inside the reactor compartment the next. Of all 3 nuke ratings, Electricinas are the only ones who consitantly interact with just about every other division on the submarine. The other two usually stay in the engineroom.
As a nuke in general, you will train, train, train, and train some more. You will train from the moment you start nuke ‘A’ school, until the time you leave the Navy. You will be expected to know procedures verbatim and where they are written down. You will be held to a higher standard than other enlisted ratings, but you will be paid more as well.
