Thanks!

i just upgraded my monitor to a NEC 17" and the native resolution on it (which is the resolution that apparently looks "best") is a whopping 1280x1024! this makes everything look ridiculously tiny and very uncomfortable to read.. decreasing the resolution makes everything a bit larger but very fuzzy text among other limitations. i did some research and it looks like most LCD 17" displays have a native resolution of 1280x1024. who was the genius that decided to make this the standard?? its terrible. can anyone recommend any decent 17" LCD monitors that DON'T require this outrageous resolution, or at least any that have a native resolution smaller than this??
i have Cleartype on and all that stuff. does anyone know of any 17" LCDs that have a native resolution of anything less than 1280x1024? i dont mind using a native resolution, just not one where everything is this tiny.

Which Computer monitor is better quality and which would you recommend? The choice is between the Dell 22" Widescreen Flatpanel Monitor E228WFP, and the ViewSonic VG2230 22" Widescreen Graphic Series LCD Display, and the NEC AccuSync ASLCD223WXM-BK 22-inch Widescreen Black Flat Panel LCD Monitor. Please tell me which one you recommend, and why. Thanks
Adding this monitor to which one you recommend: Samsung SyncMaster 225BW 22"

Thanks

My cousin and I are having a garage sale Friday, and I have a few things that I have no idea what to price at.

First thing is a NEC multisynch LCD1795 17" flat screen monitor, WITH NO POWER CORD. You can get the power cord on ebay for like .

Link to the monitor:
http://www.amazon.com/NEC-MultiSync-LCD1765-display-0-264/dp/B0000ALX5R

A Linksys wired 5-port hub, which has never been used. I got it from walmart for .00.

Tons of books, how much should I price each at?
okay, so after looking for like, 2 months, I found the power cord to the computer. It still works. So, half price?

I've owned the Acer AL226W and the Samsung 226BW, and the colours are great. Pretty accurate. The problem I'm seeing with the 22" LCDs is that on vertical pitch, the top portion of the display gets darker than the lower part. The lower you go (pitch looking up), the more you notice the top of the screen getting darker in comparison to the bottom. This plays such a huge factor when it comes to viewing colours.

Initially from what I was told, this may have to do with a faulty display. But I've tested about 5 different LCD monitors (all 22"), and they all did that. The only ones that I didn't notice this issue with was the Apple Cinema displays (00), the LG 23" HD monitor (00), and a smaller 20" NEC LCD 2270nx display.

I'm just wondering if this is just an issue with your run of the mill 22" displays. Can anyone explain this strange "phenomenom", and perhaps recommend an affordable 22" LCD that doesn't have this issue. thanks.

I have a computer with an SLI video card (not aware of exact model) and I have a CRT (NEC Multi-Synch FE990)

Today when I tried to boot up, after the BIOS screen and windows load, I get a message saying "Signal Frequency is out of Range -
FH = 49.4
FV = 39.6"

I've tried starting in safe mode and my moniter displays normally, however I don't know what setting to change to fix my problem

I also have attempted a system restore with windows- hasn't worked.

Can anyone help?

The power indicator light that is solid green when the unit is on and functioning properly is now alternating between red and green and the screen is blank. I've been told that this could be the temp sensor, cooling fans, power supply or plasma display failing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I recently bought a Viewsonic VA800 at a high school fundraiser. The seller swore that it worked. When I plug it in to my computer, the picture goes crazy from the start. The screen resembles an old scrambled cable channel. The menu from the monitor is fine until the desktop loads, so I suspect it is some sort of compatibility issue. The display adapter is a built-in NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE. My old monitor is a NEC MultiSync E500.

So I am going to build this amazing gaming computer for someone who demands the fastest computer possible because he is a gamer and he trusts me to not up the price like everyone else around here.

I have a lot of experience with computers but not really with the higher end stuff. I went on Newegg and got everything top-of-the-line and just want to make 100% positive that im not going to waste my time or his money.

By that I mean a couple questions...

Generally are these parts compatible and work well together?

are they even good parts at all or would you suggest something better?

Will the video card work with 3 way SLI?

is it too big to fit?

If it will work, will the SLI be ready to install with all of the needed parts, right out of the motherboard box?

Will the power supply support three way sli and will it allow all of the cables needed to get that working?

Will using 3 way SLI render that pci slot (the longer black one) in the middle of the 3 PCI express 2.0 slots (the red ones) useless?

Do you need to use water cooling with that case or is it just an extra feature?

Will this motherbaord allow me to use RAID 0 for the OS with 2 of the 10k RPM hard drives Im getting?

Is it better to use RAID with a PCI card or the motherboard?

Is there anything extra you have to do for RAID (IE with the pci raid cards you have to plug in certain chords for each hard drive and install drivers) when using the motherboard or will it just work out of the box?

is the ram too fast for the motherboard?

PLEASE HELP IT WILL HELP ME OUT SO MUCH! THIS IS STRESSFUL!

I have a 19' NEC monitor connected to a Windows XP home machine. I went into the advanced display appearance and readjusted everything to the point that it looks OK with a few exceptions that some pop up windows are still too small. A typical one the the widow that comes up when you click on the clock. Can you tell me what appearance parameter adjucts this?

My NEC Laptop failed to start the Windows XP Home Edition because the display message keep asking to press Alt+Control+Delete because of missing NTLD.

Maybe I accidently delete it during the Antivirus Scanning.

Anyone who good at PC Troubleshooting please help me on this.

Thanks.

In Florida, when you esign a new house, renovate it or make an adition, you are supposed to make the electric load calculations per table 20-30 of the NEC 2002. I bought the NEC 2005, an did not see this table. I am not even sure if I should go by the NEC 2002 or the NEC 2005. Any ideas?

I have an NEC MultiSync LCD 2010 XtraView flat screen monitor. I need to find a free download for a driver. I'm running XP home.

I am wishing to arrive about 10 am and leave about 5. I am interested in the most direct route, cheap ticket prices and convenience. I need transport for 2 adults, wondering perhaps about joining a coach excursion.

HIV+ and taking everything else like clockwork.

I have a NEC Mobilepro 900 laptop that is running CE.

I am having major problems finding drivers for network cards, both USB and also PCMCIA, as well as general programs. Every time I download a program onto my flash disk, it comes up with a error, saying 'This is not a Windows CE program', even though I downloaded it from a site with programs for CE.

I'm also not able to find much info on CE. It looks like 95 or 98, however, I've read that it is mainly used on PDA phones.

Wiki said it is Compact Edition, however it doesn't say a compact edition of what.

Is there a compact edition of Windows XP I could substitute this program with?

Can anyone offer any tips?

I've even heard Martha Stewart say to so so, but she didn't give the reason.
